We allow ourselves to get pulled into too many directions instead of focusing on what's most important. Distractions are anything that causes us to focus on anything other than the most important thing.

One of the biggest offenders of this is the smartphone. It's so tempting. There are so many games, social media, emails, and text messages. Anytime there is a lull in a conversation or if you're just slightly bored, most people just reach for their phone.
